1928 |
Mr. Parker created the Drumstick Company in Fort Worth, Texas. At this time the sugar cones were purchased from the The Cream Cone Company. The company filled them with ice cream for sale. One day when his telephone rang he left a sugar cone filled with ice cream in a bread bin full of chopped peanuts. When returned he found a product that combined ice cream, sugar cone and peanuts. He dipped this in melted chocolate, the Drumstick Cone was born.
The Company then sold the cone idea throughout the United States. |

1949 |
The Parker family merged the Drumstick Company with the Cream Cone Machine Company assuring the supply of sugar cones. Bob Wise, the nephew of the founder of the Cream Cone Comany, became part of the partnership with the Parker family. His background as an aeronautical engineer lead to the construction of a new Rotary Baking oven wich became an integral part of the new company's success.
A new holding company called Big Drum came into existence. |

1955 |
Big Drum developed the first automatic filling machine. By offering it to the Ice Cream producers, sugar cones were assured. |

1960 - 1962 |
The first Big Drum company in Europe was created in 1961 with the incorporation of Big Drum Ltd in England. Big Drum's international expansion began when it created sales offices in Scandinavia, Germany and the United Kingdom |

1965 |
The first Big Drum production facility outside of the United States was established in Germany. Big Drum GmbH was born. Successive expansion of the production facilities in Germany followed from 1997 and continues until this day. |

1971 |
Big Drum purchases the production facilities of the Norwegian agent and Big Drum A/S was established. |

1975 |
Big Drum created Big Drum Iberica S.A in association with ROFI SA., both parties holding 50% of the new company. |

1977 |
Big Drum integrated the Swiss agent Ice-pack AG and founded Big Drum Switzerland. |

1979 |
Big Drum France SA is founded. |

1980 |
The control of Big Drum was sold to the industrial and delivery group Alco Standard Corporation (with sales of 4 Billion US dollars at that time). From then on Big Drum became part of the Alco Food Systems division. During this time the company saw rapid development. |

Big Drum Iberica Ferre was bought from Ibi and started to operate with products for the retail ice-cream market.

The companies are merged together as Big Drum Europe. |

Founding of Big Drum Pacific as part of Big Drum Europe.

Big Drum was purchased by Nestle USA. Nestle USA looked to operate the Drumsticks licencee programme in North America. |

Big Drum Polska is opened and is based upon a joint venture with MIS. |

1994 |
Big Drum established Big Drum Maghreb as a joint venture with the Tazi family from Casablanca, Morocco.
Nestle sold the Big Drum Companies in Europe to the Management. Big Drum SA is created as a holding company and embarks upon a continuing major investment programme. |

Big Drum purchase the assets of the cone baker Sugar Cono in Milan – Italy |

New Bakery and In Line baking equipment in Germany.
Complete re-build of Big Drum Ibérica bakery and production hall. |

Norse do Brasil was founded with a joint venture with Indl. e Cial Marvi for production of sugar cones |

Purchase of Frasi in Sweden from Unilever.
Norse do Brasil changed name to Big Drum Ltda and was created a foil sleeves production plant. |

Big Drum Ltda in Brazil was moved to Indaiatuba |

Big Drum Ltda in Brazil started the production of sugar cones with a 4 rotary ovens line

Big Drum continues its enviable growth. Big Drum India in Hyderabad is created to produce sugar cones and foil sleeves. |
